Brother Mark introduced me to the world of hunting, or shall I say his world of hunting.  Believe me, this was not as fun as you think, this guy is an extremist. He thinks you need to be in your stand hours before the sun wakes up. If you’re sick with the flu no excuses, Hunt Harder. You can sleep when you die, game over. He always told me that after I get buck fever I would quit fishing so much and spend more time in the woods. Well, he was right, I didn’t believe him at first, I loved fishing, it was my life. After my first encounter with a monster buck during the rut it jumped all over me, took over my thoughts. I was having dreams every night of chasing these monsters. I would sit at my desk at work and all I could think about was what is below my tree stand right now. The addiction turned into an obsession.  I realized what buck fever was all about. I'm obsessed with knocking on doors and gaining new spots whatever it takes. It has now turned into my life everything else evolves around hunting. During the fall you won’t find me unless you’re in the woods.

I was born and raised in Harford County Md. I have been hunting since I was eight years old. My dad took me squirrel and pheasant hunting when I was a kid.I shot my first deer when I was 14. It was a scraggly West Virginia 5 point. I was hooked from there on. I started bow hunting at 16 and it has turned into a passion. I have harvested to date 146 deer with the bow. I have also taken numerous other trophy's through the past 15 years of hunting. I have taken a passion to hunting and calling predators( Coyotes, fox, Bob cats ).There is something about a challenge of out smarting the predator who is the master of the woods when it comes to out smarting his prey. I have 3 loves in my life. God being first. You have got to be right with him before anything else, and of course family and hunting. I now have my kids hunting and there is no greater feeling than watching your son or daughter drop their first deer.There is no feeling like watching your fletchings pass through a animal it is the ultimate high. I could hunt 7 days a week if life and time would allow. I would like to thank Rich and Mark for the opportunity to be a Team Buck Wild member .These guys are awesome just don't fall asleep around them. I still cant grow hair there.

I am a soon to be retired Law Enforcement Officer of 20 years.  I am a Maryland native and have lived here my entire life.  I’ve been hunting for about 15 years and have hunted everywhere from the marshes of the Eastern Shore to the mountains of Garret County.  I am a firm supporter of wildlife conservation as well as protecting all of the states natural resources.  I currently sit on the board of directors for the Frederick Chapter of the Izaak Walton league which is the oldest conservation group still in existence in the United States.  I spend a lot of time in the woods during the fall and get just as excited shooting a doe as I do when that monster buck strolls by.  My favorite type of hunting is Archery by far.  As a matter of fact I kind of did things backwards in that the first deer I ever harvested was with a bow that was borrowed from a friend.  I guess my goals are much the same as everyone else’s, shoot that world record buck someday, but I’m not holding my breath for him.  What’s more important to me is passing along the knowledge and experience I have obtained over the years. Especially to children and young hunters, they are the future of our sport.
