Derek's Bio:
The first and most memorable moment in the woods for me, and the reason im hooked is sitting in the stand with my dad and witnessing his first bow kill. I was only 6 years old but that moment will forever be locked in my head. Like most kids my dad is the reason I love to hunt. If he wouldnt have taken my that first time who knows what i would be doing for fun? If your not a deer hunter you dont understand what kind of sickness we have for being in the stand when the sun come up, and being there to see it go down.
Over the years I have had numerous deer hunting mentors, whom i have learned many things that make me successful in the woods and in life. I have also made life time friends who i share the outdoors with. These friends are the friends who will always be there. Untill 2006 I took deer hunting for granted. Sine i have had the privilege of helping with the Wheelin Sportsman Disabled hunters hunts I have realized that waken up in the morning and sitting in the deer stand is a blessing.
My goal in life is to be a good husband, a good father (one day) and to share God's creation with everyone i can. I am very excited to see what the future holds and cant wait to "MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!"

| BRAD ROSS PRO STAFF ~TBW~ |
Well first I have to thank my Dad for introducing me to the wonderful sport of hunting. Before I was old enough to carry a gun, I can still remember looking forward to those magical December dayÂs that everyone called DOE DAYS. Before I was old enough to carry a gun I would always tag along with dad when we went on those infamous deer drives. I can still remember my dad helping me build my first deer stand, and ever since I killed my first doe and my first buck out of that stand with my little Remington Youth 870 shotgun; I have been hooked for life. Since then it has become more of a passion, I am always trying to think of new ways to set up a stand location or what can I do to improve my hunting ground, what can I do to grow bigger bucks and most of all get them to reach there potential. Putting out minerals during the spring, planting food plots, and most of all letting bucks get some age on them; these are all things that I have put into my management plan.! From working on those hot grueling summer days to sitting on the stand during the freezing temperatures; I canÂt think of anything that is more rewarding than enjoying GodÂs beautiful creation. Well maybe one thing that is more rewarding is carrying some one on their first hunt or taking someone that is less fortunate. Carrying others and seeing their excitement has really sunk in for me since Derek and I, TEAM NC, have been helping with the Wheelin Sportsman Hunts for the last several years. It really shows how we should be thankful for being able to get up each morning and go hunting, go at our own pace; these are all things that each and every one of us takes for granted. Now lets get it out there and see what we can do to MAKE IT HAPPEN, team buck wild style ~ with a little North Carolina twist added to it baby. Why you hunt, your passion: It's in my blood
